BAWLS rider Matt “Ruckus” Pohlkamp rode hard all weekend to land a few impressive moto wins and a second place finish on Day 2! The boys of Intense/BAWLS were at it again at the ABA East Coast Nationals in Spartanburg, SC! David “The Hermanator” Herman scored a first place win on Day 1! David’s teammate and 2007 ABA #1 Pro Danny “Easy Money” Caluag showed everyone why he’s #1 with a first place finishes on both 20 in and Cruiser on Day 2!
At the Freedom Nationals, BAWLS hosted another Bunny Hop Contest where BMXers showed off their skills to win a complete Intense jump bike! 40 year-old Brett Downs took the big prize and shocked the younger guns in the competition, clearing 3 ft!

At Monday night's midnight launch of the highly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto IV, hundreds of gamers bounced around Game Crazy stores as they excitedly stood in line to get their hands on the long-awaited game! A solid crowd of 100+ geeks gathered at Tate’s Comics on Friday night to find true love! The first-ever South Florida geek Singles Night – hosted by Sweetongeeks.com and BAWLS –was a huge success! Geeks crowded the 7000 sq ft store to mingle with other singles, playing board games, taking a shot at a round of speed dating, chugging down G33K B33R floats, deling with lightsabers and sending secret valentines to their crushes on the Polaroid wall.
We're going to plan many more Geek Singles Nights around the US - stay tuned!

Hermanator Lands HUGE Win!

David “The Hermanator” Herman shocked the BMX world this weekend with a win at the UCI BMX World Cup Supercross in Adelaide, Australia.
What does this mean? This race was one in a series of Olympic qualifiers where the world’s best (not just the US’ best) riders compete…it’s also on an exact replica track of the one you’ll see in Beijing this summer. These tracks are unlike anything you’ve ever seen, with a HUGE, 30ft high start gate!
This was David’s first time making the main event at a Supercross (SX) race and he was the only American to make it to the final round. The 19 year-old killed it on the track in his BAWLS helmet and jersey!

The National Bicycle League hosted the Spring National Big A events March 1-2 at the Expo Center. Rachel "Thunder" Smith won the Women's Elite Opens Saturday and Sunday.
VBS-Kenda finished first in the NBL Team Competition Saturday and finished fourth Sunday.
Rachel's next race series will be March 14-16 where she will compete in the UCI/USAC North American Elite Series and the NBL Gator Pro National in West Palm Beach, FL.
